Our easy ordering process means you can either use the on line shopping cart or just send us an email.  We will require your guest’s names on a spreadsheet which can be downloaded direction from the website or we are more than happy to email it to you.

Personalised Table Plan Cards

Cards are available in any size but off the shelf sizes are A6 postcard or the larger A5.  They are available to order from our own range of wedding stationery themes or you can email us your own design and we can advise if they can be supplied to match.

We have a choice of quality card stock available, white or ivory hammered textured card, a contemporary smooth white card or for a more rustic feel, brown kraft card.

With a huge range of typeface or font choices to choose from they can be printed in a modern minimalist style or a flamboyant calligraphy font.

Get creative and enjoy making your own table plan

Individual cards are the perfect choice as they are versatile in how you can display them. Popular ideas include fixing them to a large ornate mirror, decorating an easel or using string and pegs.

Some couples prefer to display them within a large flower arrangement or for a more rustic woodland theme, mount them onto a large piece of wood and decorate with fresh woodland foliage and eucalyptus.

Table plan cards are separate cards for each table at the reception and list everyone sitting at that particular table.  The are usually displayed at the entrance to the room where the reception is to be held.

Table number or name cards

Usally displayed on tables to help guests find their table.  The table plan cards will refer to the table numbers or names making it easier for everyone to identify where they are sitting during the reception meal.

Place cards or seating cards

Sometimes known, are printed with guest’s names, and sometimes even a role printed on it, and sits at their place setting on the table. They ensure everyone sits exactly where you’d like them to. Daisy Chain can also print the guests’ menu selections on the reverse which is a huge help to the waiting staff when they are serving the meal.

Menus presented in a booklet offer a well presented and beautifully printed menu, make an impression on your guests and tempt them during your wonderful wedding breakfast.

Table Plan Etiquette

 A wedding seating plan or table plan will almost certainly help things run more smoothly at your wedding reception.

Guests are saved from the mad panic of trying to find a seat on a table with their friends/family, and you can place people where they’ll be happiest! Making sure everyone is seated next to like minded people will ensure your reception has a good atmosphere.

The perfect scenario would be that guests are happy chatting at their tables rather than making a dash for the exit it as soon as the reception is over. Consider sitting work colleagues together or a table of old school friends.

The wedding meal may last for 2-3 hours and is a significant part of the day. If your guests are sitting with people they get along with, it will make a big difference to their enjoyment of the day.

In the UK, the Bride and Groom would traditionally sit in the middle of the wedding top table flanked by the Bride’s parents, then the Groom’s parents and finally by the Best Man and Chief Bridesmaid.

Saying that, everyone’s family is different, so you may wish to include grandparents, siblings and any other close friend or relatives or just for the two of you instead.

Don’t feel you need to stick with tradition though as some layouts can be particularly useful when parents have split up and are possibly with a new partner. In many cases it is helpful to abandon the restrictions which tend to come with top table plans. Sitting with friends, rather than family might be a solution? After all, it’s your wedding.
