Second Marriage Wedding Invitation Wording

If things didn’t work out the first time round, there’s a high chance that you’ll re-marry and therefore be at a later stage of life than at the time of your first wedding.   The general rule with a second marriage is that invitation comes direct from the couple getting married, as hosts of their own wedding day.

For women, you may want to omit the title of Mrs if you’re still using your married name. Some prefer “Ms” but it’s perfectly acceptable to leave titles off all together – although if the bride doesn’t have a title on the invite, nor should the groom.

An example of the wording for an informal second marriage invite:
